Rémi Forte: Bitcoin Origins, CBDCs & Social Credit Scoring

“As far as the Cypherpunks go, I wanted the viewers to really understand WHY there is Bitcoin out there. You know, why? Why Bitcoin?

And so it was really important for me to explain that a bunch of people were afraid that freedom could be jeopardised and so they built things.. and Bitcoin became the tool to fight for freedom in the electronic age.

Rémi Forte: Bitcoin Origins, CBDCs & Social Credit Scoring

On today’s podcast, I have an interview for you recorded at the world’s first-ever Bitcoin Film Festival.

Rémi Forte is a film director who created what I would call one of the most influential Bitcoin films ever created. ‘The Satoshi Mystery‘ has been viewed at least 8 million times across multiple platforms and media channels. It’s a six-part film series that explains the ‘why?’ of Bitcoin incredibly well using interviews and documentary footage plus a narrative revealed by an animated Satoshi Nakamoto character, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin.

I spoke with Remi in Warsaw and he went into the importance of the cypherpunk origins of Bitcoin and why it is one of the most significant tools for freedom in these current times of burgeoning states, oppressive central bank digital currencies and social credit scores.

Enjoy the conversation.
